Kundenbuch: a lightweight CRM for Mac, iPad and iPhone

Anyone who works with customers knows the problem: the phone number is in Apple Contacts, the last email in the inbox, the quotation in a folder on the desktop and the note from the call on a scrap of paper. A classic CRM would solve this – but for small teams it is usually too big, too complicated and too focused on sales processes. That is exactly the gap we built Kundenbuch for.

What Kundenbuch is

Kundenbuch is a lean CRM for the Apple world: a native app for Mac, iPad and iPhone that brings business contacts and every interaction together in one place. It is deliberately reduced to the essentials – contacts, interactions, notes, documents and follow-ups. No complicated sales pipelines, no endless forms.

Three principles shape the app:

  • Business only. Private numbers and addresses have no place in Kundenbuch and are filtered out during import.
  • Everything with the customer. Every call, email, meeting and document appears in the history of the contact it belongs to.
  • A true Apple app. Native for all three device classes, following Apple’s design principles, synchronised via your own iCloud.

How it works day to day

Tapping a phone number starts the call – and at the same time creates an entry with number and time, with the notes field already open for the call notes. Emails can be prepared in Kundenbuch and sent from the usual mail app; here too the entry is created automatically. Documents, photos and voice notes attach directly to the right entry, and “Share → Kundenbuch” assigns content from other apps to a contact.

So that nothing gets left behind, any entry can be given a follow-up date. A dedicated overview shows what is overdue, what is due today and what is coming up in the next seven days.

Data protection built in from the start

When moving away from Apple Contacts, one question matters most: what gets imported? Phone numbers, email addresses and home addresses labelled private are deselected in advance, and birthdays, relationships and notes are never imported. Every single detail can be reviewed before import.

The data lives in the user’s private iCloud and is synchronised between Mac, iPad and iPhone through it. No server of your own is needed, and without an internet connection the app keeps working locally.

Who Kundenbuch is for

For freelancers and small teams who work with Apple devices and want to keep their customer relationships organised without learning a large CRM system. Kundenbuch runs on iPhone and iPad from iOS/iPadOS 18 and on the Mac from macOS 15.

Request a demo

Kundenbuch is not available in the App Store; it is provided individually and set up on your own devices. The best way to start is a short demo – you can request it directly via the form on the product page. Scope and costs can be discussed there too.
